Navigating the complexities of the coal and other combustion by-products markets is a challenge and the pressure to find new opportunities is increasing.

The 11th edition of the AshTrade global series to be held in Poznan, Poland on April 17-18, 2018 is expected to attract participants in Europe and beyond, who will focus on the business, logistics and technical challenges and opportunities in the coal combustion by-products sector.

 Join Veolia Energia Poznan Power Plant visit.Take this unique opportunity to join us for the Karolin Power Plant visit to be organized on April 18, after the AshTrade 2018 conference and exhibition.

Veolia Energia Poznań is the largest producer of heat and electricity in the Poznan agglomeration. EC II  Karolin Power Plant is  the main energy source for the district heating network in Poznan. The CHP produces heat and electricity in 3 power units with the total installed power of 1095 MW (thermal) and 313 MW (electrical).

Veolia gives much attention to the environment protection. Since 2011 Veolia has spent over 300 Million PLN on the environment investments. The most important are:

  • Biomass boiler 
  • Desulphurization installations
  • Denitrification installations

CHP is equipped with electro-filters and equipment for continuous monitoring of SO2, NO2, CO, CO2 and dust emissions in flue gases. All combustion by-products are re-used as components for building materials.

  • The price for the tour is 150 EUR/ delegate and a group rate (3+) applies, of 100 EUR/ delegate until April 1. 
  • You must be a registered and fully paid AshTrade Europe 2018 attendee to participate. This plant visit is not included in the base program cost.
