February 22-23, JW Marriott Resort & Spa Cancun, Mexico

The economic and population growth around the world, as well as a greater purchasing power of consumers generate an increasing amount of waste. To dispose of it in a safe and responsible way is today one of the great challenges worldwide. With co-processing, we manage waste and give it a new use, contributing to a future without waste.

Héctor Garciacésar Rodríguez, Director of Geocycle México, will be presenting "Coprocessing: helping you to achieve zero waste to landfill".

The conference is packed with multiple networking opportunities among over 100 regional and international guests already confirmed. We have companies attending from USA, Spain, Austria, France, Germany, Turkey, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, India and Japan.

The beneficial use of fly ash as construction material provides substantial environmental, commercial and economic benefits.
There are concerns in the concrete industry about the long-term sustainability of fly ash. Challenges facing the industry include uncertainty stemming from environmental regulations impacting coal fired generation, regional/seasonal availability due to plant closures or fuel switching and concerns related to product quality resulting from sorbent injections for air emission control.

Rafic Minkara, Ph.D., P.E., Vice President, Research and Development of Boral Resources will be presenting "Fly Ash Sustainability In the USA: Regulatory Challenges, Resource Availability and Product Quality". The presentation will highlight measures taken to address product availability such as investment in logistics and reclamation of legacy resources as well as innovative technologies to mitigate product quality issues.

Environment-friendly and efficient cement production

Elemental analysis with X-ray fluorescence and neutron analysis provides a way to monitor the chemistry of alternative fuels allowing stable, clean and cost-efficient operation. On the other hand, cost saving and reduction of CO2 emissions using alternative raw materials can be maximized through X-ray diffraction.

This method directly probes the mineralogical composition of clinker and supplementary cementitious material, that allows accurate determination of alternative raw materials content, maximizing its use in cement.

Harald van Weeren, Market Segment Manager, Malvern Panalytical will be presenting "How materials analysis can maximize the utilization of alternative fuels and raw materials".

We look forward to meeting you at AFARM 2018!

Discover the life cycle of calcination powder, from being the by-product of the alloy process needed in steel production, to its end use as a mineral additive in the production of hydraulic cement will be discussed at Slag & AshTrade Americas 2018 Conference & Exhibition.

Mr. Roberto Uribe, General Director, Mexican Institute for Cement and Concrete and Mr. Fernando Masante, Construction & Real Estate Manager, Minera Autlan will be presenting the "Ecological exploitation of calcination by-products and the improvement of their pozzolanic activity.

IMCYC, AC is a non-profit association dedicated to the research, teaching and dissemination of cement and concrete application techniques. Its mission is to promote the optimal use of cement and concrete to meet market needs with quality, productivity and opportunity, contributing to improve professional performance, development and economic benefit of the industry, as well as society.

In this way, new knowledge about cement and concrete is provided, and it is taught to work with quality, solving the problems of application in the works and guiding the professionals in their multiple opportunities of use. Likewise, our structures are strengthened, developing staff, expanding our national and international presence and making operations more effective and efficient.

Implementing a system of waste sorting will reduce the amount of waste you will need to dispose of, and therefore also cut waste disposal costs. Multiple ways of handling waste will be shared, alongside with the benefits and challenges of delivery methods, storage and economic use, the competitive nature of Fly Ash and abundance of Bottom Ash plus different methods of material handling and storage requirements.

Andrew SpivakManager of Business Development for ARMGeocycle US will be presenting "Fly Ash vs. Bottom Ash" sharing opportunities and challenges for coal-fueled generation fleet at Slag & AshTrade Americas, conference & exhibition to be held in Cancun Mexico on February 22-23, 2018

With an emphasis on creating a forum to strike new partnerships and explore the possibilities of new deals, this is an ideal meeting that focuses on combustion byproducts, business and logistics including slag, fly ash, pozzolana, mill scale and gives you the opportunity to be part of the international group of top industry specialists.
